Once you are awake enough to sit in a chair, you will be transferred to the 2nd stage of recovery. Here you will be given fluids to drink and your family will join you.

Before leaving, post-operative care instructions will be given. You should not drive, operate heavy machinery or make any critical decisions for 24 hours.

A nurse will be calling you at home on the day following surgery to check on you and answer any questions you may have.
