 The Medical team at the DMOS
Orthopaedic Centers recognizes the value of physical and
occupational therapy for the complete rehabilitation of Orthopaedic
injuries and disease. Optimum recovery depends on restoring motion,
strength and condition. Maintenance of a healthy state is enhanced
by proper fitness programs and education in the prevention of
re-injury. These services are provided at DMOS West in the
modern IMMC Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre, which includes
testing rooms, a well-equipped strengthening and conditioning area,
work conditioning and assessment equipment and a classroom. There is
also a comprehensive hand therapy unit, which provides hand therapy,
splinting and work readiness services. By providing a complete
rehabilitation program, the time required for resolution of an
injury should be decreased; thus reducing time lost from physical
activity and work. The personnel at the IMMC Orthopaedic &
Sports Medicine Centre are committed to providing the patient with a
productive yet pleasant experience.
