Biography
Dr. Eric Lee is a board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine. Originally from Pleasant Hill, Iowa, he attended the University of Notre Dame, where he was a Division 1 College Football athlete at wide receiver for four seasons. He then earned his M.D. from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin, and his Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Emory in Atlanta, GA. During his fellowship, he assisted in team physician coverage for the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Hawks (NBA), Braves (MLB), United (MLS), and Georgia Tech University (Division 1 Athletics). Throughout his training, he gave presentations at national meetings, published research in peer-reviewed journals, and was involved in medical education, being awarded the Outstanding Resident Educator at the University of Wisconsin. Outside of work, he enjoys being with his wife Hannah & 3 boys (TJ, Bennett, Anderson), working out, reading to his kids, yard work, and cheering for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Dr. Lee believes that movement is medicine. Activity has been a cornerstone of his own life and he wants to help patients at all levels return to their work, desired activity or sport.
