Biography
Jonah Lewis is an Occupational Therapist at our West Des Moines office. Originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, Jonah pursued his undergraduate studies at Concordia University, St. Paul, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Des Moines University. He is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Society of Hand Therapists, and the Iowa Occupational Therapy Association.
Jonah has experience in outpatient hand therapy and neurorehabilitation, as well as working with individuals across a variety of settings including pediatrics, assisted living, and acute and subacute care. He has developed a strong clinical foundation in evaluating and treating upper extremity injuries, including post-surgical and non-surgical conditions. Jonah enjoys integrating evidence-based practice with individualized patient goals and has a special interest in the rehabilitation of overhead throwing athletes.
Outside of his profession, Jonah enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and being outdoors. He is also a former college baseball player and an enthusiastic fan of Minnesota sports teams, including the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Wild.
